Touched by the Holy Spirit?

Have you been touched by the Holy Spirit? How do you know? It is an overwhelming experience of love for everyone you see. If you happen to be in a public place, you will feel a sense of love and connection with everyone around you. The feeling sweeps over you like a wave of love. There is a “knowing” that there is no such thing as separateness. There will be tears and emotion. There is a wish to pray. It often comes over a person quickly and leaves just as fast. It leaves you changed forever.

Charismatic Christians talk about speaking in tongues as they are filled with the Holy Spirit." Everyone can have this experience.

Helen Schucman was the woman who channeled the voice of Jesus in the Course in Miracles. In her biography she wrote about having the overwhelming experience of love while sitting as a passenger in a bus full of people. She could not believe she was having the experience. Moreover, Helen was a reluctant channel in bringing forth the words of Jesus throughout the creation of the book. She certainly was touched by the Holy Spirit.

The Course in Miracles talks at length about the “Atonement,” which means at-one-ment. We are all one with each other and God. You are God. Jesus says in Chapter 2 of the book, “Everything God Created is like him.The acceptance of the atonement will come to everyone—it is only a matter of time." When one understands this connection to all others spiritual vision becomes stronger and simultaneously physical sight becomes weaker.

Saint Germain talks about our interconnectedness by always reminding us we are love.  He says that, “being touched by the Holy Spirit is called many things. A receptive and loving heart is necessary to experience this.

Buddhism provides great wisdom reminding us that all—both physical and spiritual are manifestations of the single source of life.

My own experience has happened in both public and private places. I recall sitting in a large restaurant one day and was almost blinded by the love I felt for every person I could see. I held on to the feeling as long as I could before it left me. I knew I had experienced the holy spirit in that moment.

A close friend was on the top of a high bridge during the middle of a divorce. He said to himself, “it would be easy to turn the wheel, and end this now. ” He raised both his arms --lifting them off the steering wheel. Suddenly he felt the touch of the Holy Spirit who told him to forgive the woman he married over 25 years earlier. He believes that the Holy Spirit intervened in his life that day and changed him.

Jesus said, “Love you neighbor as yourself. Hearing this is weak in comparison to the experience of it. I hope everyone has this opportunity to know in their heart that we are all one within the Father. I decided years ago to make a change in the Lord’s Prayer we all learned as children:

Our Father, who art in me and everyone I see, Hallowed be Thy Name. Thy Kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive them that trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom,The power, and the glory, For ever and ever. Amen.

Thank you for this question for a reader

Where did my mother go when she died? Is there a place where her soul went?

Saint Germain- The spirit is not in the space as you think of it in the material world. Spirit is energy does not take up space. It is, therefore, not moving upward to a heaven, but remains in the layers where it was embodied.
